I am going crazy!!!!! Everytime I access my yahoo mail it switches to one of those stupid ad.doubleclick screens and I have to keep going back and forth! I’ve tried entering it in the blocked sites on internet security. I’ve tried entering it to be blocked on the “hosts” file under the drivers. Nothing is working. I know these are stupid ad things from google but I can’t get rid of them! AAAAAARRRRRGGGGHHH!!!!!! Thanks for any help!

There’s an ‘opt out’ option for most of these, but seriously, if you use Internet Explorer, they get through anyway.

If you visit a site that says – they are “using cPanel”, either that site is badly setup or simply doesn’t exist in the server anymore. Access to Cpanel is only for the website owner/administrator.

Question by John D: I just order an unmanaged VPS hosting. Where do I start?
So I just order an unmanaged VPS hosting. I would to install GNOME and VNC on the server I order since I need to run a game server on it.
The server OS is Ubuntu and the distro is fredora. Where and how do I start installing both of these softwares on the server I order? I tried google but it I’m lost.

If one were place warez on there site, could the web host immediately perceive it and delete your account, or do they have to search for it through there servers?Like for instance the more popular warez sites. Answer by rossng11 Your friend is an idiot. Her account will be banned. Any decent host will have keyword matching systems in place to detect illegal content, or it will be reported very quickly.
Most warez sites are run either from people’s own servers (which no-one else can physically access and shut down) or from the servers of hacked corporate networks. Most sites, however, do not actually host illegal content, but effectively link to the selfsame content on users computers (peer-to-peer, often bittorrent).
Because the legality of this is somewhat of a grey area, it is easier to get away with, but does not actually add anything to the current offerings, requires more h4x0r sk1llz (note: sarcastic) and still gets people kicked.
All in all, don’t do it. Realise that there is plenty of free software available and use it. See, for example http://techsupportalert.com

I’ve got this canadian hosting(there so, whatever), and my bandwidth is getting out of limit, can I just crank up the limit bandwidth.
for example(on whm) the current use is 35 gb and the limit is 40gb, can I change the 40 for a 50 or even more?

If you’re using a free host then they usually give more bandwidth when you go to the paid version.
